Regal Irrigation is a small landscaping and irrigation business based in Melbourne's south-east. This page explains, in plain English, what information we collect about you and what we do with it. We've tried to keep it short and honest.
What we collect
When you fill in our quote form, call us, or email, we collect what you give us:
- Your name, phone number, email address and suburb.
- Any notes you write about your property, system or job.
- Photos you share with us, if you send any.
Our website uses Google Tag Manager to run Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement, plus Vercel Web Analytics, to count visitors and see which pages and ads lead to enquiries. These do not capture your name, phone or email. You can block them with browser tracking-protection settings.
How we use it
We use your contact details to:
- Reply to your enquiry and book a site visit.
- Send you the quote and the documents needed to do the job.
- Stay in touch about the work in progress and any warranty or service issues afterwards.
We don't sell, rent or trade your details. We don't add you to a marketing list unless you've explicitly asked us to.
Who we share it with
We only share your details when we have to, with people who help us run the business:
- The hosting service that runs this website (Vercel).
- The tools we use to receive and manage your enquiry: an automation service that routes your form submission to us, the messaging app and email we use to receive it, and our job-management system (ServiceM8).
- Any supplier or plumber working on your specific job, if needed for the work.
- The Australian Tax Office and our accountant, for invoicing and tax.
If a court or regulator legally requires us to release your information, we'll comply.
How long we keep it
We keep job records, invoices and warranty information for seven years, which is what the ATO requires. Unsuccessful quote enquiries are typically deleted after two years.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act you can ask us to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete your information (with some legal exceptions, like tax records).
Email sales@regalirrigation.com.au and we'll sort it out within 30 days.
Security
We take reasonable care to keep your details safe. The website is served over HTTPS, our email is hosted by a major provider, and the CRM is protected by login and two-factor authentication. We're a small business, not a bank, but we don't store credit card numbers or anything similarly sensitive.
Cookies
This website uses a small number of cookies: an analytics cookie for visitor counts, and a Google advertising cookie so we can measure whether an ad led to a quote enquiry. These do not store your name, phone or email. You can clear or block them at any time from your browser settings, and you can opt out of personalised Google ads in your Google account settings.
